Since the advent of the computer, and more particularly the home computer, society has been promised a paperless society.  Is that time almost here?

Amazon is saying that its newest “gadget”, an e-reader called “Kindle”, might make the paper best seller obsolete!  As a literate Silver Fox, I’ve grown up in the age of books printed on paper.  No, I don’t go back to the age of the Gutenberg bible, but a book to hold in my hand is a comfortable old friend.

More than 126,000 ebooks are now downloadable to the Kindle.  Amazon says the Kindle has now taken 6 percent of the book sales.  Maybe in a few years, everything will be on the Kindle. 

Well, I don’t know, the Kindle might just be a temporary thing, like pockets – you know they can’t last!!  Cuddle up in front of the fireplace with a good book or cuddle up with your Kindle?  Humm…well now you know!
