Based on a report from the US News, here are a few of what is thought to be the best places to retire.  First on the list is Charlotte, North Carolina, because of its many fine nature and amusement parks.  It also is located not far from the beautiful South Carolina coastline.  As you can see, there is plenty of things to do around Charlotte.

If you are looking to save a little cash then Shiloh, Ohio is your place.  Shiloh has homes starting at under $80,000.  The climate is mild to warm in the summer with the average July temperature being 79 degrees.  In January, the temperature averages 35 degrees, a little cool, but yet affordable.

Next on the list is Arizona.  If you like warmer winters this is the place to be.  Arizona has very hot and humid summers with little rain.  For those who like nature there are also plenty of desert land for you to explore.  For those who enjoy the night life and fine dining, Phoenix and Tucson offer some of the best.

Tennessee also made the list because of its tourist hot spots.  The mountains of Tennessee are one of these spots.   If you like quiet, this is your place. In East Tennessee you also have plenty of tourist attractions such as Dollywood and Pigeon Forge.  Not far from there you also have the home of country music -- Nashville, Tennessee.  Nashville also has several tourist attractions such as The Grand Ole Opry and saloons for those who like to party.
