Violence in Teens

As the sandwich generation, caring for our aging parents and helping our children and grandchildren, we Baby Boomers have concerns about family violence. In search of help for a troubled teen, I found shocking statistics that point out how frequently teens are exposed to an overload of violence. One site blames violent video games and song lyrics for subliminal messages to teens. Informative articles on teen runaways and the reasons, abusive households and ways to repair stressed family units are featured on FamilyandTeens.com.
Articles written in February and March, 2008 are very factual. However, new material seems to be lacking. I would like to see comments about how the tight economy is affecting the family. Experts here can help Silver Fox readers to further understand our grandchildren who are struggling through those difficult teen years.
