As a Silver Fox, I have been reorganizing and straightening out my possessions as I prepare to downsize.  In a garment bag at the back of my closet was my wedding dress.  Since the dress is rich in memories, I began to search for ideas for how a modern bride might update the look for her own special day.

Of course, the internet is well supplied with advice on restoring old wedding dresses and incorporating the mother or grandmother’s dress into a new memory.  Every bride deserves a wedding created just for her.  While some girls opt for a brand new custom created gown, others may choose to use a vintage gown.  Couture, a new web site, has articles relating to custom designed gowns, cleaning the old wedding dress and even alterations to update your gown.

For those of us who may be ready for a Silver Fox wedding, the site advises that you should give your designer plenty of time to help you with a custom design.  For the 55+ woman, custom design may be the way to go, as a designer can emphasize our good figure features (Miss Leg of 1969!) and hide those features which should remain hidden!
